This shot illustrates the result of running a single profile. The screen width was cropped to fit on the html page.
(In this case, drive "H" is a little 9-oz, 2.5" 60GB laptop drive, in an external USB 2.0 case, that I can carry to Phoenix for file synchronizations.)
For this example I chose the profile for the html folder I am using to compose this review. I have added (6) screen shots to a new folder at this point; all other files are already in synch. The program is ready to copy the six files to the right when I click the "start" button.
The "state" button is left defaulted to show only those files that have changed. Note that you can display all files, or those affected on the left, or on the right, or only those files that are unchanged.
SuperFlexible can also detect whether files have simply been moved, and you can program to mirror the same move on the left, or on the right. There is also a "smart Move" option that compares file locations to a database map of previous file locations, so that the program can decide for itself whether to make a mirror move on the left, or the right.
This could be vital when a profile might be used in either direction, or where some files on each machine have been moved.
No files are ever deleted (unless you opt to have them moved to Trash). Orphan files on one side or the other can be ignored, or moved to a special conflicts folder. |
