This panel turns the scheduler on and
off. Assuming the Profile Overview has been set to allow unattended
execution of scheduled profiles, you can set SFFS for daily or nightly
tasks and forget it, or, let SFFS run in the background while you
do other tasks.
Scheduling particulars are set individually
at the profile level.
In unattended mode SFFS will cycle through
all my profiles in just a few minutes, so fast that you will check
the first few times to see if it really did anything. Including
my web site (132 MB), My Documents folder (551MB) and 1.5GB of JPG's,
for any one location and machine Profile Group we are cranking through
way over 2GB of files and folders.
Fast run times are the case when only
a few files need updating. Obviously, if you have not run your synch
profiles recently enough, the speed of file copy through the drive
controllers or local network will slow these times down somewhat.
Scheduling your profiles is a good idea, giving you more current
backup protection as a bonus.
