Screen review: Select Subfolders screen

Here is the Select-Subfolders panel. You can check off only those subfolders you need to compare in the synch preview.

In theory, you could set up an entire drive or volume in one profile, simply by use of the "Select Folders and Files" option in the Edit Profiles tab. You just check the items you want to see compared in the synch preview. Unchecked folders are excluded.

Above is an illustration of the great utility and power of SuperFlexible. My "Nikon DC100" folder contains over 1300 TIFF files - 11.8GB so far. I want a complete set of all these originals on the home desktop machines in Castro Valley and Phoenix (a good off-site backup strategy). But, I obviously don't want to also warehouse them on the Vaio laptop hard drive!

So, I keep only the new TIFF's on the laptop, those that haven't yet made the airline trip to be added to the collection at the other location. And SuperFlexible cuts down manual file moves by letting me select just the new folders that I want to synchronize at this time.

Here, only the photos from October 11 have just been synchronized. (All older photos are fully backed up). Below, you can see the result in the Synchronization Preview panel. I have checked the "show all" radiobutton to demonstrate that only the 11 TIFF's in the most recent folder, boxes checked to be selected, have been copied. Changing the radiobutton back to "Affected" would result in no files being displayed, since they are already synchronized on both sides.
