Why should we do this?
Section 5 of 16

The answer: because it is the right thing to do.

But, if you don't see this, if you think you can skate by on half-formed approximations and slogans and predigested platforms, consider this: the rights and perogatives you enjoy as a citizen will disappear for future generations, or even for you, if you don't.

The real reason why you should do this is because it's in your own self-interest to do it.

"What Makes You Think We Need To Be Told This?"

You probably don't need to be told this. The point is to convince people to at least look at a broader point of view. You may understand a lot of the points made here, may even agree with some of it, and may disagree with either the aims or implementation of much of it.

You don't need to be told what to think here, or anywhere else.

The problem we face is a huge population of people willing to accept at face value other's explanations and rationalizations for deeds and events they know to be wrong.

If people weren't told what to think, and didn't accept critical teachings uncritically, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

That, more than any other point, is the main message.
