he goal of this book is to let light and fresh air into the American ego.
We all have a mystic seer inside us, you see, and mine tells me we should relax our driven ego a bit. He says we should see each other not as mortal rivals but as peers, and that we should peer into ourselves --into what we so awfully deny and into what we so awesomely have in common, into all the humanity we share.
Because of what he tells me, I dedicate this book not just to you or to me, but to the identity between us -- to the Mutual I.
