| 23 Miller Lake | Miller Lake is a little more than two days north out of Tuolumne Meadows, a perfect spot to rest up between Matterhorn and Cold Canyons. It is also very beautiful, and I was very proud to have the whole isolated lake to myself. Almost to myself, that is. Just before sunset, a horse and burro caravan ascended Cold Canyon and camped down on the opposite shore. I was treated to rousing choruses of "Happy Birthday To You" from a troop of boy scouts. This kept up until late that night. I left early the next morning, lest I have to share the trail with boy scout horses, burros and animals. | |
