  27_Snow_Cave.jpg - This photo was taken in Yosemite National Park, in August 1972. The locale is in the vicinity of Rock Island Pass, in the Matterhorn Peak quadrange. I'm not sure I ever found the Pass. I figured I couldn't go too far wrong just heading for the crest. The Pass may have been under this ice. There was a small cave carved into the snow, which I wisely avoided entering.
