  Pond-in-the-River.jpg - Google Earth 2007. Pond in the River connected from Richardson Lake by a narrow rapids that was home to some fine trout and eastern salmon. Visitors to Bee's Hive would traverse the Carry Road from Middle Dam to the inlet at the rapids. In 1959 we were still using an ancient Model T Ford for that leg of the trip. We would then motor by canoe to The Island, the larger of the two in Pond in the River, in the satellite image. This image is uded in our slide show Margarido Drive 1955-1962.
